Hello. I’m Anne Capozzi.

Twenty years ago, I embarked on a journey. I had a love for family and cooking, a passion for design and space planning, and a vision to change the lives of homeowners in Northeast Ohio. Little did I know that my journey would lead me from humble beginnings as a solitary kitchen designer to my respected full-scale design-build firm, Capozzi Design Build.

Reflecting on these two decades, I feel immensely proud, grateful, and accomplished. It has been an extraordinary adventure.

A Third-Generation Cabinet Maker

My history in the home improvement industry began long before 2004. My father and great-uncle were cabinet makers. Growing up around my father’s shop, I was immersed in masterful craftsmanship and exceptional design of residential and commercial cabinetry from a young age. The smell of sawdust, the sight of handcrafted cabinets, and the sound of tools at work were all part of my childhood. My father instilled in me an appreciation for developing functional and beautiful spaces. Doing so is an art and a science; because of him, I am skilled in both. His dedication to using high-quality materials, delivering excellent customer service, and contributing long-term value to homeowners became the foundation of my career.

After college, I joined the family business. I was eager to contribute and learn. In 1996, I became a Certified Kitchen Designer and began my home remodeling profession. Eight years later, I moved to Cleveland and took a leap of faith by starting Capozzi Design Build. Initially a design-only firm, the company evolved quickly, as our desire to provide comprehensive living solutions was evident to our clients.

A Husband-Wife Team

In 2006, my husband Kevin left his corporate job to join me in this venture. His support and partnership have been invaluable. Together, we navigated the challenges and celebrated the successes, balancing the demands of the business with raising our five wonderful children. It hasn’t always been easy, but our shared inspiration and beliefs kept us moving forward.

Over the years, Capozzi Design Build has grown in ways I could only have dreamed of. We opened our first showroom in Chagrin Village in 2008, and we’ve been part of Chagrin Falls Plaza for the last decade. In 2020, we launched a small projects division called BenchMark Home Services to meet more of our clients’ diverse needs. Our shop in Solon has become a hub of creativity and innovation where we bring our clients’ ideas to life.

Thousands of Happy Clients

Our work has been featured in national magazines, and we’ve won multiple awards. This recognition reflects the knowledge and skill of our incredible team. But the relationships we’ve built with our clients mean much more than the accolades. Each project is a collaboration, a partnership of trust and respect. We love creating spaces that multiple generations of family members can enjoy together. In fact, we specialize in making safe, comfortable, practical, and timeless spaces for living in place.

Looking back, I cherish the lessons we have learned and the milestones we have achieved. I am thankful for the mentors who guided me, the clients who worked with us, and the team members who joined us. These people played a vital role in shaping Capozzi Design Build into the company it is today.

Looking ahead, I am excited and optimistic. The future holds endless possibilities for the company and for Kevin and me. Kevin’s devotion to Ironman races exemplifies our resolve to push boundaries and pursue excellence in all we do. As we enter the next chapter, we remain committed to our core values of quality, integrity, and client satisfaction.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To our clients, thank you for believing in us and bringing us into your lives. Your support has been the cornerstone of our success. To our team, thank you for your hard work, diligence, and artistry. You are the heart and soul of Capozzi Design Build. And to my family, thank you for your unwavering love. This journey would not have been possible without you.

As we celebrate the past 20 years, we look forward to the next 20 years with the same passion that has brought us this far. Here’s to the future; to new challenges, opportunities, and relationships. Here’s to continuing to craft spaces that enrich our clients’ lives.

With warmest regards,

Anne Capozzi
